Hello again,

I have been a total slacker with this blog stuff! I have been busy sewing but and quilting and here are my latest!

The hubs brought back some fabric for me from New York, and this is what he brought...Lotta Jansdotter's Echo line. I can't express how great this fabric is...I used all prints except the purple ones...had to keep it a little manly since this is going on our bed! I used the Wedding quilt from the Purl Bee! I had to add some rows and columns to make it work for my kingsize bed.. I love how it turned out. Of course no bed would be complete without some pillows...so I am making these:

These are 5" inch half-Hexies! Just gotta go get zippers to complete them! Thanks for stopping by!

Patchwork Playmat

I got an e-mail from an admin from a Flickr group that they wanted to add one of my quilts to their site.  I am so thrilled, but she is linking this this blog, so I better get it on here! She liked this quilt.
It is a little patchwork playmat that i made with left over fabric from another quilt (that I need to post as well!)  Here is the back, which is the part I really love about his quilt!
I got the inspiration for the back from Film in The Fridge.  She has the best quilt backs!  I had to give it a go, but since this was only my third quilt, it was a bit of trial and error.  But, I really love how it turned out!  The fabric used is Sunkissed fabric for Moda by Sweetwater!

Kaledescope Quilt Along

I am joining my first Quilt Along!

These are the fabrics that I am using for my quilt! They are 1930's reproduction fabrics. Since inheriting a Dutch Doll quilt top made of these fabrics, I have fallen in love! I might even have to make a Single Girl out of them!
Can't wait to start cutting into these!!

Here we go!

Ok so I have been wanting to start a blog for a LONG time, and after the recent loss of my baby brother I decided life is too short to keep putting things off.  I love reading blogs and seeing the things people create.  I get so much inspiration from the pictures and so appreciate the people who take the time to write tutorials and things.  This is my way of paying it forward, and if it inspires anyone in the process, my heart will be smiling!  So here goes nothing!  My latest quilt is a Band-aid quilt. It was inspired by this quilt. Anyhow I love this fabric from Riley Blake called Happier. This quilt is for my best friends baby girl! The back is a little yellow and white stripe !
